Pets Coming from the USA to France
Travelers may bring their dogs and cats from the United States into France under the following conditions:
Each family is limited to 5 animals. Every animal must be at least 7 months old. Every animal must be identified by a microchip or a tattoo Every animal must be accompanied with a valid rabies vaccination certificate A health certificate executed no more than 10 days before the arrival of the pet(s) into France must accompany the pet(s). The health certificate has to be signed by a USDA certified veterinarian. The certificate should be translated into French. Although not a requirement it will simplify your entry. The health certificate requires that the pets have had shots for the following diseases: for cats: feline leucopenia for dogs: canine distemper, viral hepatitis, leptospirosis and canine parvorirosis Moreover for dogs and cats, a blood test to confirm the rabies vaccination anti-body level must be done at least 3 months before arrival into France and at least 30 days after the pet has been vaccinated against rabies.
