Houses Wanted In Languedoc

Meon Villas, the luxury tour operator specialising in villas with pools, is expanding its programme in the Languedoc-Roussillon for the 2004 summer season. Meon has been marketing villas in France and all over Europe for 30 years and you can view all of the houses which they rent out on the Rentalsfrance website. Well-established in the south-west of France and on the Cote d'Azur, the company has just introduced villas in the Languedoc-Roussillon and sales have been so strong that they are now looking for 4 or 5 extra properties to add to their brochure.

Ideally, suitable houses will have 2,3 or 4 bedrooms, with a private swimming pool of at least 8m x 4m and be within 15 miles of the coast, although Meon will also consider inland properties. Your villa needs to be in an attractive/interesting location and preferably not overlooked by other houses. The house should be decorated to a good standard but all styles can be considered. It is important that heating and hot water are generated by electricity or oil and not gas installations and you must be able to provide a cleaning and linen service as well as regular upkeep for the garden and pool.

Meon offers comprehensive marketing services through twice yearly editions of their glossy brochure, inclusion on their website and on other sites with which the company works. They have their own reservations call centre and sell through all the leading high street travel agents, as well as agents in several other countries. They advertise primarily in the Times and Telegraph and target an upmarket clientele.

Meon operates between 1st April and 31st October and houses must be available for 16 weeks of the season with at least 6 weeks free in July and August. They agree a set rent with the owner for the different dates of the season at the time of the contract and rents are paid in full before the customer's arrival.
