Properties for sale in France I am adding a few more properties to our site at last week I mentioned two traditional properties for sale here in Nizas and there was a big response. I have written cautionary tales in these newsletters before, so if you are thinking of buying property here look them up in the archives. We are not a realtor and have no commercial interest in these properties except for a few bottles of wine from the owners. But these old classic properties are getting very scarce, they have stopped making them. === 2. If the airline loses your baggage I clipped this piece from an on-line magazine, I always give credit but I cannot remember where I got it, so if it is yours please write to me and I will give the correct accreditation. Ruling favors fliers with lost luggage The US Supreme Court rejected an appeal by American Airlines to limit the compensation it must pay to a family whose luggage was lost. The move could open airlines to additional lawsuits for compensation related to lost or damaged luggage in excess of the Warsaw Convention limit of USD 9.07 per pound. To protect yourself from lost or damaged luggage, you need to know the rules and follow them in a timely manner. If your bags are damaged you must file a written claim within three days with the airlines. Send to each airline you traveler on if more than one and keep copies. Send it registered for a stamped receipt. If your bags are lost or delayed you must file a written complaint within 14 days of the date you checked your baggage in with the airline. If you arrive in a foreign country and can not wait at the airport for delayed luggage, immediately fill out a claim form, even if an airline employee assures you that your baggage will arrive on the next flight. State that you believe that your baggage has been delayed/lost , given that you don't actually know what has happened. Keep a copy of the claim form and take an extra blank form just in case the bag arrives and is damaged === 3. Farmhouse in Provence At the time of writing this property is still available for rental. We have two photos we can e-mail to everyone who is interested. I have not seen the property so here is a description from the owner The Mas Bello Estello (Beautiful star) is a 18th century farmhouse, at the bottom of the Alpilles. It is surrounded by Olive trees and vineyards, with a beautiful open view on the Alpilles. Very private, the garden has been decorated with roman stones. The interior of the Mas respects the Provencal tradition of interiors. Nice antiques and French country furniture and material are giving a very special charm to very room. The mas is situated only 10mn walking from the heart of the village St Remy De Provence. It has 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs, a kitchen, a dining room and two living rooms as well as a very private office. === 4. Yoga Courses I keep promising myself to relax, get fit, meditate and study yoga. We have put a link to this yoga course near on the site, go to look at the index and click on yoga. I found out we even have a yoga teacher in our village so now I have no excuse. === 5. Cycling tours This region is one of the best places in the world to discover by bike. From the flat costal plain to the mountains of the National Park it is only 20 miles. The good news is you are never more than 5 miles from a village cafe or a winery. There are some sites which offer specialist cycling tours, I have just put an interesting looking one on the site, look under "Cycle Tours" from the index. === 6. Advertise your Property We have always made sure that we give the best service we can to guests who rent a property from us, however this means that we cannot keep adding lots of new properties, which we manage ourselves as we could never cope with all the work.
